Mid Wellwood is an upland sheep farm located near Muirkirk in East Ayrshire. We have blackface ewes which are crossed with the blue-faced leicester to produce Scotch Mule lambs. Visits during spring will have the opportunity to feed lambs and see the lambing shed. Throughout the year our two old pigs live in the wood opposite the bothy for you to say hello :)

We are also heavily involved in conservation schemes, encouraging the breeding of upland birds such as Hen Harriers, Owls, Merlin, Peregrine and Golden Plower.  On the farm, we have paths which lead directly to the River Ayr, providing an excellent escape to nature.
